God blessed us with a wonderful year of ministry at Stillwater Point Church. See some of our visitors' faces and their stories of restoration.
One More Day
October 14 this year I had surgery to replace my bone-on-bone arthritic hip joint making it increasingly hard to maintain Stillwater. During my recovery, God led me to study the patriarch Jacob, a kindred spirit when it comes to hip problems. For Jacob, God dislocated his hip to relocate his heart. God healed him by giving him a limp and Jacob learned his true calling in the wrestling match. He realized he couldn’t wiggle his way out of every problem on his own. Our humbling is the beginning of God's healing. Like Jacob, I realize I can’t travel this journey called life on my own. I need help. Through my hip surgery came great appreciation for my wife who lovingly cared for me, friends who carried in meals and colleagues who carried the load of Stillwater Point Church while I was recovering.
When we wake up after wrestling with God, we have a new awareness of His presence, His power and His purpose. And a new appreciation that we get to live one more day because of His grace. Each day is a gift of God. We wake up and say, “Surely the Lord is in this place.” Sometimes He speaks softly in a dream. Sometimes He wrenches our hip. Most likely He’ll do both to get our full attention.

With this new appreciation, we thank you all for your friendship and support of Stillwater Point, making it possible to restore souls beside still waters one more day, one more year.
Within hours of my surgery, I was up walking with my new hip joint and thanking God for one more day I can minister with Jan at Stillwater Point Church.
Your prayer cabin was the perfect space to clear my mind and accept the invitation I have sensed from God to take the risk to become a writer.
Your ministry is so important for people like me. Thank you so much. God bless!

Spending time with the Lord here has been so refreshing. It is so peaceful, intimate and quiet. Thank you for the sacrifice to open up your home and letting strangers come and find rest. I will be back!

Enjoyed a lovely day of peace and quiet and a Retreat from a loud and noisy life. Loved the kayak and an uninterrupted time to paint and reconnect with myself and the Lord.
